Le Chalet des Îles, situated on a small island in a lake in the Bois de Boulogne, was originally created when Napoleon III’s wife imported a chalet from Switzerland to escape the strict customs of the time and create a tranquil green space. This secluded Parisian restaurant has been beautifully revived and reopened by architect Nicolas Laisné. The décor, inspired by nature, evokes the sensation of a pleasant breeze flowing over the water’s surface.
