New York<\/b><\/p>\n

The American Museum of Natural History is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. A new facility, the Richard Gilder Center for Science and Innovation, has been added to the museum. The design was inspired by the steep canyon structures of the American Southwest. The six-story atrium was once ten separate buildings over 100 years old, and to successfully connect them, structural concrete was sprayed directly onto a custom-bent reinforced concrete foundation and shaped. This technique resulted in a seamless, visually and spatially continuous, cave-like design. The museum includes a 465-square-meter insectarium, a butterfly exhibit facility, an immersive theater entitled Invisible Worlds, and a library and education center.<\/p>\n
