REGS World Topics Vol. 32:A waterfront hotel developed as part of the redevelopment of a former industrial zone.
From our global network of GARDE agents, we bring you unique real estate transformation stories from around the world. This time, we focus on the 25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island, a former industrial zone once used for shipyards, warehouses, and paper storage, now reborn as a hotel with restaurants, bars, and public spaces.
Denmark
The 25hours Hotel Copenhagen, designed by the Swedish studio Stylt Trampoli, is conceived as a Scandinavian summer house. Bright wood, muted coastal tones, brick floors, maritime motifs, and reclaimed materials create an unpretentious, waterfront-connected atmosphere. Objects and artworks sourced from flea markets reflect the port’s history.
